CONDITIONS

IMPORTANT : PART - ASSEMBLED MACHINES

Where a machine is sold part-assembled, the customer must bear in mind that the process of completing the machine  requires  at least some basic mechanical skill and competence. The satisfactory operation, and safety, of the completed machine depend critically on correct assembly. Use of a broken or defective part in assembly, or incorrect assembly, can seriously compromise the performance and safety of the completed machine.

Once assembled, all nuts and bolts should be checked prior to riding. These should also be checked on a weekly basis.

Quads 4 Kids carefully selects its own suppliers and expects all unassembled parts to reach the customer in proper order. But it is the customers responsibility to examine each item carefully prior to assembly.

By ordering a part assembled machine, the customer agrees to take these steps

If in any doubt, customers should seek assistance in examination and assembly from a competent mechanic. Customers who have not  previously assembled a product of this kind are particularly strongly urged to obtain such assistance. 

1) You must inform us in writing (e-mail, fax or post) of the problem and whether you require a replacement part or whether returning the item to us for repair.

2) Where an item is being returned which is considered to be defective, delivery costs will be refunded ( Upto the same value as originally charged ) if on examination of the returned item, Quads 4 Kids are satisfied that the goods sold were in breach of the seller's obligations under the contract of sale, and that exceptionally Quads 4 Kids will consider, in its absolute discretion, making carriage arrangements for an item known to be defective. 

3) If you are returning under the Distance Selling Regulations you are responsible for any costs incurred by returning items to us;

If the repairis are carried out under warranty we will reimburse you your carriage cost ( subject to a figure being agreed prior to despatching to us). However, if we take on a repair that is not covered by the warranty or is down to misuse then the cost of carriage is the responsibility of the customer.

3) Returned products should be securely packed, ideally in their original packaging, and should be insured.

RETURNS POLICY

Quads4Kids work in line with the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations 2000, which provides you with a right to cancel your order for products at any time up to the end of the seventh working day following the day after the day on which you received the products. You do not need to give us any reason for cancellation. The item must not have been assembled or used and must be returned to us as new and in original packaging.

We recommend you use a Recorded Delivery Service that insures the goods when returning.

We will credit the price of the cancelled product, but if the item has already been despatched WE CANNOT REFUND DELIVERY COSTS, except if the reason for return is because of an error on our behalf or if a product is damaged, defective or of incorrect quantity then we will credit the delivery charge.

Returns other than above will incur a 20% handling charge which will be deducted from the refund given

PAYMENT

We accept all Debit and Credit cards. Debit cards no charge, Credit cards add 2% surcharge.

For items being delivered we will only deliver to the card holders address for security reasons. If you require delivery to a different address then payment will have to be made by bank transfer or cheque. We will then deliver to any address once the funds are cleared. Cheques - please allow 5 working days from the date they were banked.

If you are collecting your item or sending in your own transport company to collect then payment will need to be made by bank transfer, cleared cheque, cash on collection, or card payment in person with the required pin number entered.

The same applies with PayPal payments - we will only deliver to the address on the paypal payment details and we will only deliver to a confirmed address. PayPal payments are not accepted if the item is being collected. 

This is for security reasons and under no circumstances will we change our above policy.

DELIVERY

Most items are delivered by a pallet transport company. Apart from small items, parts etc.

The standard delivery service is a 3 working day delivery from date of dispatch. This means the item will be delivered ONE of the following 3 workings days starting from the day the item has been sent. ie: The item is sent out Monday by us....the item will be delivered Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The item is sent out Thursday by us...the item will be delivered Friday, Monday or Tuesday.

The transport company will usually phone a couple of hours before the item is delivered.

Delivery times and phone calls from the transport company are not guaranteed.

All our items require a signature on delivery and help will be required for unloading most items. Most of the items are delivered by a lorry with a tail lift. Our large buggies will not fit on the tail lift therefore either require forklifting off or most depots will allow you to collect. ID will be required.

Next working day, timed or Saturday delivery options are also available but at extra cost please ask for more details if the standard delivery time is not suitable.

Small Items sent by courier is usually a next working day delivery. This again is not guaranteed. The item will require a signature.

When signing for your item you are signing to say received in good condition. Therefore you must check the condition of your item before signing. Any damage must be made by telephone or email within 24 hours. We will require you to email a picture of the damage and the part or complete item returned to us before a replacement part or item is sent.
